Nissan Leaf

Electric Car market in India is so weak at present,Diesel cars are still ruling the Indian automotive market. Electric car market is increasing globally but not in India. By keeping in mind  the mentality of Indians to follow the west,car makers are planning to launch many electric cars in India. The Automotive companies having electric cars in their portfolio are trying to make a position in electric car market of India also. One of those companies is Nissan. Nissan will soon launch its electric car Nissan Leaf. Nissan Leaf is a electric car by Nissan,which is having a good position in the west.

The Nissan Leaf is a fully electric car of hatchback segment. As Indian automotive market is different from the west market,the Japanese car maker Nissan has made some work with Leaf for Indian market.
currently Mahindra is having its only electric car Mahindra Reva in the Indian market.But soon Nissan Leaf will be in market to compete with Reva. Nissan Leaf's global sale in 2011 was found around 21,000 unit making undisputed global leader in electric car market.
Recently CEO and MD of Nissan Motor India kiminobu tokuyama had stated that Nissan is analizing the feasibility of introducing Nissan Leaf in Indian market and planning an agressive launch for Leaf in India. Nissan has a stable maeket in India with its Micra and Sunny. In addition to this Nissan disclosed the plans to launch a MPV Nissan Evalia in 2013-2014.
