Mitsubishi, the leading Japanese auto maker, has unveiled its all new Mirage hatchback. The car will now be displayed at the Tokyo Motor Show. It is to be mentioned here that the Mitsubishi Mirage hatchback is a production version of the firm’s Global Small car Concept which was displayed at the Geneva Motor Show a few months back. The production of Mirage hatchback will go on stream in the month of March 2012. The USP of the car is its exceptionally high mileage of 30 km per liter.
The Mirage is Mitsubishi’s Global hatchback which will be sold in the global market as Colt hatchback. The car will be shelved in the price segment of affordable entry level models. The 3.7 meter long hatchback can comfortably accommodate 5 adults, despite its compact dimensions.
Carrying a 1.0-liter three-cylinder MIVEC engine at its heart, the Mitsubishi Mirage model is blessed with advanced CVT gearbox along with Auto-stop-and-go. The car will be sold in a number of countries across the globe and the company is confident of registering volume sales of this car in the global market.
The all new mirage SUV is expected to be rolled-out in the Indian market following its launch in the European countries next year.
