Ferrari has launched the FF four seater hatchback in India at Rs.3.42 crores at its recently opened showroom in Delhi. The FF is the Italian carmaker's first car to get four comfortable and spacious seats along with a rear hatch.
The FF has been developed and designed to cater to the needs of Ferrari's customers who have a family. Hence, the two extra seats and rear hatch door for increased luggage. The interior has been tastefully fitted with top quality leather and carbon fibre. The FF will be a perfect long distance tourer with pace, space and power.
The Ferrari FF is the replacement of the 612 Scaglietti, another V12 powered grand tourer. The FF is powered by a massive 6.2-litre V12 that can churn out 660bhp and 682 Nm of torque. In another first for Ferrari, the FF is also the Italian carmaker's first four wheel drive car. This enables it to handle several challenging road surfaces with ease. Ferrari showcased this ability by driving the FF on the tough slopes of the European Alps.
Ferrari developed the four wheel drive system specifically for the FF and it can be said to be a grand success. It is lighter than conventional four wheel drive systems by 50 per cent and this allows a higher top speed. The FF is touted to have reached a mind boggling top speed of 335kmph and can accelerate to 100kmph within just 3.7 seconds.
Ferrari has taken inspiration form the 458 Italia while designing the FF's frontal design. The headlights are similar and and the profile mirrors the two door sports car. The rear though is new and unique. The FF has emerged as a car that a Ferrari lover will love to drive for long hours due to the ride comfort. Further the additional practicality of two extra seats and more luggage space ensures this will be a fast family car too.
